Wilpena Pound

Wilpena Pound is a stunning natural amphitheatre in the Flinders Ranges 420 Km north of Adelaide, and here we are. The resort is by a river bed, where the great river gums grow. Kangaroos are everywhere, barely glancing when you open your door in the morning.

The climb up Mt. Ohlssen Bagge took a few hours under overcast skies, and from the top there are excellent views across the pound and on the other side, out to the surrounding rolling hills and flats. Look down, look out, look up.
